Sesame (Sesamum Indicum)[1] is a medicinal herb. There are three types of sesame seeds: white, black and fine. It is a small plant cultivated all over India. It also has a name Tilam (from which the oil gets its name Tilam). Sesame oil is extracted from sesame seeds. Sesame oil is called oil, but it is commonly called ghee. Sesame leaves, flowers, pods and seeds are all medicinal. Sesame can also grow in dry areas. It is enough to water it once while planting it. No need to water afterwards. It is drought tolerant.
